WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Department of Finance, previously entered into a grant agreement with the State of Tennessee, Tennessee Emergency Management Agency to provide public assistance pursuant to Presidential Disaster Declaration FEMA-1909-DR-TN to complete repairs and/or replacement to facilities damaged during the April and May 2010 flood approved by RS2010-1489; and,

WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend the grant agreement to increase the amount of the grant by $429,810.63 from $83,338,847.60 to $83,768,658.23 and to increase the required cash match by $22,621.61 from $4,386,254.73 to $4,408,876.34, a copy of which amendment fifteen is attached hereto; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that amendment fifteen be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1.                     That amendment fifteen to the grant by and between the State of Tennessee, Tennessee Emergency Management Agency, and the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Department of Finance, to provide public assistance pursuant to Presidential Disaster Declaration FEMA-1909-DR-TN to complete repairs and/or replacement to facilities damaged during the April and May 2010 flood, a copy of which amendment fifteen is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2.                     That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.

This resolution approves the fifteenth amendment to a grant from the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency originally approved by RS2010-1489. The proceeds of this grant are used to provide public assistance pursuant to Presidential Disaster Declaration number FEMA-1909-DRTN to complete repairs and/or replacement to facilities damaged during the 2010 flood.

 

This grant amendment increases the grant amount by $429,810.63, from $83,338,847.60 to $83,768,658.23 and increases the required cash match by $22,621.61, from $4,386,254.73 to $4,408,876.34. The grant budget attachments would be updated accordingly. All other terms of the grant remain unchanged.
