A resolution authorizing the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, through Department of Water and Sewerage Services, to fund an increase to the agreement between the United States Department of the Army and the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, for the Mill Creek Flood Risk Management Project in Davidson County, Tennessee. WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County "Metro," acting by and through the Department of Water and Sewerage Services, previously entered into an agreement with the United States Department of the Army "Government," approved by RS2017-976 for Mill Creek Flood Risk Management Project in Davidson County, TN ('Agreement"); and,
WHEREAS, RS2020-191 approved amendment one to the Agreement between Metro and Government; and,
WHEREAS, Government has approved an increase to the estimated budgeted amount of $9,772,000.00 of the nonstructural component of the project to complete acquisition of the final properties (Exhibit 1); and,
WHEREAS, Government and Metro will jointly fund the $512,000.00 increase in accordance with the provisions of Agreement; and,
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that the increase to the agreement be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, through Department of Water and Sewerage Services, is hereby authorized to fund an increase to the agreement between the United States Department of the Army and the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, for the Mill Creek Flood Risk Management Project in Davidson County, Tennessee, as further explained in Exhibit 1, attached and incorporated herein.
