An ordinance approving an agreement between the Metropolitan Government of Nashville-Davidson County, acting by and through the Office of Family Safety, and Caravan Studios to participate in the Safe Shelter Collaborative that addresses quick identification of immediately available and survivor appropriate-shelter.

WHEREAS, the Safe Shelter Collaborative helps participating agencies to quickly place survivors of domestic violence, human trafficking, or sexual assault in safe, survivor-appropriate shelter; and,
WHEREAS, the Safe Shelter Collaborative offers technology-enabled features to help the Office of Family Safety reach all local participating agencies at the same time to connect survivors with available, survivor appropriate-shelter; and,
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this agreement be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That the agreement between the Metropolitan Government of Nashville-Davidson County, acting by and through the Office of Family Safety, and Caravan Studios to participate in the Safe Shelter Collaborative that addresses quick identification of immediately available and survivor-appropriate shelter, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.
Section 2. That this ordinance shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
