An ordinance approving an agreement between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, and LEAD Cameron to further youth outreach through activities with the Nashville Police Activities League.

WHEREAS, the Nashville Police Activities League, a division within MNPD, exists to engage, mentor, educate, and empower youth to grow within their communities and have a positive impact on their neighborhoods; and,
WHEREAS, LEAD Cameron, a Nashville Public Charter School, exists to prepare LEADers who can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally, to prepare its students to be ready for life; and,
WHEREAS, the Nashville Police Activities League and LEAD Cameron desire to work together to further youth outreach through activities; and,
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this agreement be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That the agreement between the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, and LEAD Cameron to further youth outreach through activities with the Nashville Police Activities League, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.
Section 2. That this ordinance shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
