WHEREAS, the abandonment of approximately 583 linear feet of existing six-inch water main, and the acceptance of approximately 583 linear feet of new eight inch water main (DIP), for two properties located at 2309 and 2315 Clifton Avenue, also known as Clifton Triangle, are needed to construct project number 22-WL-33; and,
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Commission approved mandatory referral No. 2023M-003ES-001 on January 12, 2023, for the abandonment and acceptance of said water mains.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is authorized to abandon approximately 583 linear feet of existing six inch water main, and to accept approximately 583 linear feet of new eight inch water main (DIP), for properties located at 2309 and 2315 Clifton Avenue, also known as Clifton Triangle, as shown on Exhibit 1, which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference.

Section 2. The Directors of Water and Sewerage Services and Public Property Administration are authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary and appropriate to carry out the abandonment and acceptance authorized by this ordinance.
Section 3. Amendments to this legislation shall be approved by resolution.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
