WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Office of Emergency Management, previously entered into a grant agreement with the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency to provide resources for hazardous materials (hazmat) preparedness, approved by RS2023-2267 and RS2024-722 (amendment one); and,
WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend the grant agreement to increase the amount of the grant by $31,500 from $118,660 to $150,160 and to increase the required cash match by $7,875 from $29,665 to $37,540, a copy of which amendment two is attached hereto; and,
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that amendment two be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That amendment two to the grant by and between the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency and the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Office of Emergency Management, to provide resources for hazardous materials (hazmat) preparedness, a copy of which amendment two is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.
Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
