A resolution appropriating a total of $1,297,915.20 to non-profit organizations and approving interim housing services grant contracts between the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Office of Homeless Services, and non-profit organizations for the provision of mobile housing navigation services at mobile housing navigation centers.

WHEREAS, Section 7-3-314 of the Tennessee Code Annotated states that metropolitan forms of government may provide financial assistance to nonprofit organizations in accordance with the guidelines of the Metropolitan Government; and,
WHEREAS, Section 5.04.070 of the Metropolitan Code of Laws provides that the Council may, by Resolution, appropriate funds for the financial aid of nonprofit organizations; and,
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council passed Resolution No. RS2024-490, pursuant to which Resolution No. RS2022-1860 was amended by reallocating $4,400,000 to the Strobel Center, to be used for supportive services and operating expenses; and,
WHEREAS, Metropolitan Council passed Resolution No. RS2024-864, pursuant to which the Metropolitan Government approved memorandums of understanding between the Department of Finance and certain departments of the Metropolitan Government, including the Office of Homeless Services, concerning prior appropriations of ARPA funds; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. RS2024-864, the Metropolitan Government approved a memorandum of understanding between the Department of Finance and the Office of Homeless Services to make available $18,825,649.53 of ARPA funds for the purposes described in prior appropriations, including Resolution No. RS2024-490; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. RS2024-864, $1,297,915.20 of ARPA funds are available for the provision of interim housing services and operations at multiple mobile housing navigation sites; and,
