WHEREAS, Resolution RS2023-1947 appropriated
$10,000,000.00 in American Rescue Plan Act funds from Fund #30216 to be allocated to neighborhood needs through a community-led participatory budget
ing program; and,
WHEREAS, one project that won through the community-wide participatory budget
ing ballot process is a $400,000.00 grant to the Tennessee College of Applied Technology (TCAT) Nashville for the creation of a workforce development apprenticeship program; and,
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that these
funds be appropriated to TCAT Nashville.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That $400,000.00
from the
American Rescue Plan Fund #30216 is hereby appropriated to the Tennessee College of Applied Technology (TCAT) Nashville to be used for the creation of a workforce development apprenticeship program as described
in Exhibit A, attached hereto.
Section 2. That this Resolution shall take effect
from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requir
