WHEREAS, the Aristevi Foundation wishes to donate to $12,000.00 to the Metro Nashville-Davidson County Office of Family Safety for the use and benefit of the department; and,

WHEREAS, the donation information required under Metropolitan Code of Laws § 5.04.120(C) is attached hereto and incorporated herein; and,

WHEREAS, pursuant to Metropolitan Code of Laws § 5.04.120(B), donations to departments exceeding $7,500.00 in value may be accepted upon approval of the Metropolitan Council by resolution; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this donation be accepted.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the donation of $12,000.00 by the Aristevi Foundation to the Metro Nashville-Davidson County Office of Family Safety is hereby approved.

Section 2.  That the Metro Nashville-Davidson County Office of Family Safety is hereby authorized to accept this donation for its use and benefit.

Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.

This resolution accepts a monetary donation from Aristevi Foundation, an organization that assists human trafficking survivors, to the Office of Family Safety. The donation would be $12,000 for the use and benefit of the Office of Family Safety.

 

The Council is authorized to approve donations by resolution pursuant to Metropolitan Code of Laws Section 5.04.120.B.
