A resolution approving an application for a Continuum of Care Collaborative Applicant grant from the Nashville Continuum of Care to the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Office of Homeless Services, to address the critical problem of homelessness through a coordinated community-based process of identifying needs and building a homeless response system of housing and services to address those needs.

WHEREAS, the Nashville Continuum of Care is accepting applications for a Continuum of Care Collaborative Applicant grant with an award of $381,251.00 and a required cash match of $95,312.75 t to address the critical problem of homelessness through a coordinated community-based process of identifying needs and building a homeless response system of housing and services to address those needs; and,

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government is eligible to participate in this grant program; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this grant application be approved and submitted.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the application for a Continuum of Care Collaborative Applicant grant, with an award of $381,251.00 and a required cash match of $95,95,312.75, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Office of Homeless Services is authorized to submit said application to the Nashville Continuum of Care

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
