WHEREAS, Resolution RS2022-1450 appropriated $5,546,000 in American Rescue Plan Act Funds to the United Way of Greater Nashville to increase access to existing high quality child care centers and invest in efforts to build capacity and build up high-quality child care programs; and,
WHEREAS, Exhibit A to Resolution RS2022-1450 provided for a projected project term of April 1, 2022 through June 30, 2024; and,
WHEREAS, the United Way of Greater Nashville has requested that the projected project term be extended through December 31, 2024; and,
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that the project term be extended.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. The Metropolitan Council accepts this resolution as a recommendation of the COVID-19 Financial Oversight Committee.
Section 2. That Resolution RS2022-1450 is hereby amended by amending Exhibit A to extend the projected program term through December 31, 2024.
Section 3. That this Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
