WHEREAS, RS2022-1660 approved an assignment of solid waste collection services from Red River Waste, LP to Platform Capital Waste Solutions, LLC ("Platform"), and an amended contract between Platform and the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County ("Metro"); and,
WHEREAS, Amendment 1 to the contract increases the estimated contact value to $11 million dollars; and,
WHEREAS, Metropolitan Code Section 4.12.220 permits Council approval of contracts for the provision of collection, transportation and/or disposal of solid waste by resolution; and,
WHEREAS, is in the best interest of the Metropolitan Government and the citizens of Nashville and Davidson County that Amendment 1 be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That Amendment 1 to the contract between the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and Platform Capital Waste Solutions, LLC, attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
