WHEREAS, the abandonment of approximately 243 linear feet of existing two-inch cast lined water main, and the acceptance of approximately 323 linear of new six-inch water main (DIP) and two fire hydrant assemblies, for six properties located on Sevier Street, also known as Sevier Street Water Main Extension Project, are needed to construct project number 23-WL-08; and,
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Commission approved mandatory referral No. 2023M-87ES-001 on June 7, 2023, for the abandonment and acceptance of said water main and fire hydrant assemblies.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is authorized to abandon approximately 243 linear feet of existing two-inch cast lined water main, and to accept approximately 323 linear of new six-inch water main (DIP) and two fire hydrant assemblies, for six properties located on Sevier Street, also known as Sevier Street Water Main Extension Project, as shown on Exhibits 1 and 2, which are attached hereto and incorporated by reference.
Section 2. The Directors of Water and Sewerage Services and Public Property Administration are authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary and appropriate to carry out the abandonment and acceptance authorized by this ordinance.
Section 3. Amendments to this legislation shall be approved by resolution.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
