A resolution accepting a donation from 19^th Church Street, LLC in the amount of $214,000 as a contribution towards infrastructure improvements at the intersection of 19^th Avenue and Church Street.

WHEREAS, pursuant to Metropolitan Code of Laws § 5.04.120, the Metropolitan Council can approve donations, exclusive of donations of real estate, by resolution; and,

WHEREAS, 19^th Church Street, LLC owns and plans to develop a parcel of property (the “Property”) at the intersection of 19^th Avenue and Church Street in Nashville; and,

WHEREAS, traffic signal improvements (the “Improvements”) will eventually be necessary at that intersection as the Property and nearby properties develop; and,

WHEREAS, as provided in the letter attached as Exhibit 1, the 19^th Church Street, LLC proposes to donate $214,000 to the Metropolitan Government as a contribution of half of the estimated cost of the Improvements.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1.                      19^th Church Street, LLC’s proposed donation of $214,000 as a contribution towards the cost of the Improvements, as proposed in Exhibit 1, is approved.

Section 2.                       This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.

Analysis

This resolution accepts a donation from 19^th Church Street, LLC in the amount of $214,000 as a contribution toward infrastructure improvements at the intersection of 19^th Avenue and Church Street. 19^th Church Street, LLC is developing a project at 1815 Church Street and has agreed to donate 50% of the projected cost of the intersection traffic signal costs at the intersection of 19^th Avenue and Church Street.

Fiscal Note: Metro will receive a donation from 19^th Church Street, LLC in the amount of $214,000 contribution towards infrastructure improvements at the intersection of 19^th Avenue and Church Street.
