Whereas, the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Office of Emergency Management, has authored a Letter of Acceptance for 2023 Homeland Security Grant Funds in an amount not to exceed $288,441.00 with no cash match required to the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency for Homeland Security District 5 to subsidize the Emergency Management Program; and,

Whereas, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this Letter of Acceptance be approved.

Now, therefore be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. That the Letter of Acceptance for 2023 Homeland Security Grant Funds from the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Office of Emergency Management, to the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency for Homeland Security District 5, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
