WHEREAS, RS2023-1948 appropriated $75,0000 in American Rescue Plan Act funds from Fund #30216 to the Nashville Voluntary Organization Active Disaster Coalition (“VOAD”); and,
WHEREAS, the resolution needs to be amended to reflect VOAD’s fiscal sponsor as The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee; and,
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this amendment be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That Section 2 of RS2023-1948 is hereby amended by deleting it in its entirety and replacing it with the following:
“That $75,000 from the COVID-19 American Rescue Plan Fund #30216 is hereby appropriated to the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee as the fiscal sponsor of the Nashville Voluntary Organization Active Disaster Coalition.
Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of the public requiring it.

This resolution amends Resolution No. RS2023-1948, which appropriated $75,000 in American Rescue Plan Act funds from Fund #30216 to the Nashville Voluntary Organization Active Disasters (“VOAD”) coalition for a pilot program to engage the community in emergency preparedness through June 30, 2024.
This resolution amends RS2023-1948 to clarify that the funds will be appropriated to the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee as the fiscal sponsor of VOAD. No other changes will be made.
