An ordinance authorizing The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to abandon existing public sanitary sewer mains and easements, and to accept new sanitary sewer mains, sanitary sewer manholes and easements, for two properties located at 30 and 90 Peabody Street, also known as Peabody Union Sewer (MWS Project No. 21-SL-221 and Proposal No. 2023M-034ES-001).

WHEREAS, the abandonment of approximately 856 linear feet of existing eight-inch sanitary sewer mains and easements, and the acceptance of approximately 116 linear feet of new eight-inch sanitary sewer main (PVC), approximately 478 linear feet of new 12-inch sanitary sewer main, approximately 262 linear feet of new 15-inch sanitary sewer main (DIP), two sanitary sewer manholes and easements, for two properties located at 30 and 90 Peabody Street, also known as Peabody Union Sewer, are needed to construct project number 21-SL-221; and,
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Commission approved mandatory referral No. 2023M-034ES-001 on March 6, 2023, for the abandonment and acceptance of said sanitary sewer mains, sanitary sewer manholes and easements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is authorized to abandon approximately 856 linear feet of existing eight-inch sanitary sewer mains and easements, and to accept approximately 116 linear feet of new eight-inch sanitary sewer main (PVC), approximately 478 linear feet of new 12-inch sanitary sewer main, approximately 262 linear feet of new 15-inch sanitary sewer main (DIP), two sanitary sewer manholes and easements, for two properties located at 30 and 90 Peabody Street, also known as Peabody Union Sewer, as shown on Exhibit 1, which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference.
