WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County owns parcels of property located at 0 Whites Creek Pike (Parcel No. 04900030800), 3854 Whites Creek Pike (Parcel No. 04900009400), 0 Whites Creek Pike (Parcel No. 04900030600), 3832 Whites Creek Pike (Parcel No. 04900030700), 0 Buena Vista Pike (Parcel No. 05900006001), 2715 Tucker Road (Parcel No. 07000000600), and 3200 Kings Lane (Parcel No. 05909007700) part of which is shown on the attached Exhibits A through G; and,

WHEREAS, Piedmont Natural Gas Company has requested permanent and temporary construction easements as shown on Exhibits A through G, across said properties for the purposes of constructing, installing, maintaining, operating, repairing, altering, replacing, removing, relocating, inspecting, upgrading, and protecting one or more pipelines; and,

WHEREAS, Piedmont Natural Gas Company has agreed, as Grantee, to pay fair market value as compensation for said easements.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. The granting of the following temporary construction and permanent easements to Piedmont Natural Gas Company across said property for the purposes of constructing, installing, maintaining, operating, repairing, altering, replacing, removing, relocating, inspecting, upgrading, and protecting one or more pipelines as shown in attached Exhibits A through G are hereby approved.

Section 2. The Director of Public Property Administration is authorized to grant said easements and to execute the necessary documents pertaining thereto.

Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.

Piedmont will use this easement for the purposes of constructing, installing, maintaining, operating, repairing, altering, replacing, removing, relocating, inspecting, upgrading, and protecting one or more pipelines. Piedmont has agreed to pay fair market value as compensation for these easements.

 

Fiscal Note: Piedmont will pay Metro a total of $128,600 for the permanent and temporary easements approved by this ordinance.
