WHEREAS, the abandonment of approximately 227 linear feet of existing eight inch sanitary sewer main (PVC), and the acceptance of approximately 275 linear feet of new 10 inch sanitary sewer main (PVC), four sanitary sewer manholes and easements, for property located at 2521 Clarksville Pike, also known as We Go North Nashville, is needed to construct project number 22-SL-223; and,

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Commission approved mandatory referral No. 2022M-176ES-001 on November 30, 2022, for the abandonment and acceptance of said sanitary sewer mains, sanitary sewer manholes and easements.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1.                     The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is authorized to abandon approximately 227 linear feet of existing eight inch sanitary sewer main (PVC), and to accept approximately 275 linear feet of new 10 inch sanitary sewer main (PVC), four sanitary sewer manholes and easements, for property located at 2521 Clarksville Pike, also known as We Go North Nashville, as shown on Exhibit 1, which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference.

Section 2.                     The Directors of Water and Sewerage Services and Public Property Administration are authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary and appropriate to carry out the  abandonment and acceptance authorized by this ordinance.

Section 3.                     Amendments to this legislation shall be approved by resolution.

Section 4.                     This ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.

Fiscal Note: This ordinance has no cost to Metro. Abandoned and donated easements have no market value according to the Department of Water Services.
