WHEREAS, the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation is accepting applications for the DWR-ARP Non Collaborative Grants State Water Infrastructure Program Grant with an award of $63,418,244.83, a required cash match of $15,854,561.21, and additional department Capital Budget allocation of $85,223,193.17 to modernize and upgrade the Dry Creek Water Reclamation Facility; and,
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government is eligible to participate in this grant program; and,
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this grant application be approved and submitted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That the Metropolitan Government's application for the DWR-ARP Non Collaborative Grants State Water Infrastructure Program Grant with an award of $63,418,244.83, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Nashville Water and Sewerage Services Department is authorized to submit said application to Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation.
Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
