WHEREAS, the abandonment of approximately six linear feet of existing six inch water main (cast iron pipe), and the acceptance of approximately six linear feet of new six inch water main (ductile iron pipe), for property located at 2525 Gallatin Avenue, also known as Roufail Plaza, are needed to construct project number 22-WL-80; and,
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Commission approved mandatory referral No. 2022M-132ES-001 on September 15, 2022, for the abandonment and acceptance of said water mains.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is authorized to abandon approximately six linear feet of existing six inch water main (cast iron pipe), and to accept approximately six linear feet of new six inch water main (ductile iron pipe), for property located at 2525 Gallatin Avenue, also known as Roufail Plaza, as shown on Exhibit 1, which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference.

Section 2. The Directors of Water and Sewerage Services and Public Property Administration are authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary and appropriate to carry out the abandonment and acceptance authorized by this ordinance.
Section 3. Amendments to this legislation shall be approved by resolution.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
