A resolution approving amendment three to a grant from the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency to the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Department of Finance, to provide public assistance pursuant to Presidential Disaster Declaration number FEMA-4476-DR-TN for costs incurred for severe storms, tornadoes, straight-line winds, and flooding on March 3, 2020.

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Department of Finance, previously entered into a grant agreement with the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency to provide public assistance pursuant to Presidential Disaster Declaration number FEMA-4476-DR-TN for costs incurred for severe storms, tornadoes, straight-line winds, and flooding on March 3, 2020, approved by RS2021-701; and,
WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend the grant agreement to increase the amount of the grant by $1,929,499.84 from $13,478,466.63 to $15,407,966.47 and decrease the required cash match by $1,157,638.68 from $1,929,397.77 to $771,759.09, a copy of which amendment three is attached hereto; and,
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that amendment three be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That amendment three to the grant by and between the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency and the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Department of Finance, to provide public assistance pursuant to Presidential Disaster Declaration number FEMA-4476-DR-TN for costs incurred for severe storms, tornadoes, straight-line winds, and flooding on March 3, 2020, a copy of which amendment three is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.
