A resolution classifying public roads in Davidson County, Tennessee.

WHEREAS, the public roads of Davidson County are shown on the Geographical Information Systems Street and Alley Centerline Layer maintained by the Nashville Department of Transportation and Multimodal Infrastructure; and,

WHEREAS, Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 54-10-103, requires the legislative body of each county to classify the public roads in each county and requires that a list must first be submitted of all public county roads, including a summary of changes from the road listing submitted the previous year; and,

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council most recently classified the public roads in Davidson County by Resolution, RS2021-1075.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1.  That the Geographic Information Systems Street and Alley Centerline Layer, as approved by Ordinance No. BL2021-1053, under Proposal Number 2022M-001OT-001, and as supplemented by the public county road list attached hereto, is hereby adopted as the public road classification for Davidson County pursuant to Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 54-10-103. 

Section 2.   That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.

This resolution is an annual housekeeping matter required by state law to formally classify all public roads in Davidson County.

 

By adoption of this resolution, roads and alleys listed on the Official Street and Alley Acceptance and Maintenance Maps, as approved by Ordinance No. BL2021-1053 under proposal number 2022M-001OT-001 and supplemented by the public county road list attached to the resolution, would officially be classified as public roads.
