WHEREAS, 5620 Nolensville Pike, LLC owns certain real property located at 5620 Nolensville Pike, Nashville, Tennessee (Parcel No. 16100030500); and,

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, by and through the Department of General Services, has determined that this office space on the property is needed to conduct community outreach; and,

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and 5620 Nolensville Pike, LLC have negotiated the lease agreement attached hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit 1; and,

WHEREAS, this ordinance has been mandatorily referred to the Planning Commission pursuant to Section 11.505 of the Metropolitan Charter and has been assigned Proposal No. 2022M-025AG-001, which has been administratively reviewed and recommended for approval; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this agreement be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1.                     That the Lease Agreement between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and 5620 Nolensville Pike, LLC attached hereto as Exhibit 1, is hereby approved and the Director of Public Property Administration, or his designee, is hereby authorized to execute the same.

Section 2.                      That any amendment to this lease agreement shall be approved by resolution of the Metropolitan Council receiving at least twenty-one (21) affirmative votes.

Section 3.                       This ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.

This ordinance approves a lease agreement between the Metropolitan Department of General Services and 5620 Nolensville Pike, LLC for use of office space at 5620 Nolensville Pike.

 

Pursuant to the terms of the lease agreement, Metro would lease approximately 1,665 square feet of office space at 5620 Nolensville Pike, Suite 5644 for conducting community outreach. The term of the lease would begin upon execution of all parties and filing with the Metropolitan Clerk and end three years from the date of commencement. Either party can terminate the lease upon 180 days written notice. There would be no annual rent during the lease term.

 

This has been approved by the Planning Commission. Future amendments to the lease agreement may be approved by resolution.

 

Fiscal Note: There is no annual rent due to Metro under this lease agreement. Metro would pay for gas, heat, electricity, water, phone, cable internet, security alarm fees, pest control and any other utilities requested by Metro.
