A resolution accepting a memorandum of understanding between CAPA Strategies, LLC in conjunction with The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Mayor's Office, to participate in a technical assistance opportunity to receive Urban Heat Island Mapping for an area of 100 square miles within the city of Nashville identifying those areas that suffer from more intense heat due to the built environment.

WHEREAS, CAPA Strategies, LLC, in conjunction with NOAA, desire to enter into a memorandum of understanding with an estimated value of $12,000.00 with the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Mayor's Office, to participate in a technical assistance opportunity to receive Urban Heat Island Mapping for an area of 100 square miles within the city of Nashville identifying those areas that suffer from more intense heat due to the built environment, a copy of which is attached hereto; and,
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that the memorandum of understanding be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That the memorandum of understanding by and between CAPA Strategies, LLC in conjunction with The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Mayor's Office, to participate in a technical assistance opportunity to receive Urban Heat Island Mapping for an area of 100 square miles within the city of Nashville identifying those areas that suffer from more intense heat due to the built environment, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.
