A resolution to establish a new fee structure associated with the processing and review of Metro Planning Commission applications associated with Title 17 of the Metropolitan Code (Proposal No. 2022Z-007TX-001).

WHEREAS, the fee schedules utilized by the Metropolitan Planning Department have been in place for a number of years; and,
WHEREAS, an independent consultant was retained to determine whether and to what extend a fee increase is necessary to cover the full cost of services provided by the Planning Department; and,
WHEREAS, the independent consultant performed an analysis of the scope of services provided by the Planning Department and others related to development and building construction; and,
WHEREAS, the independent consultant determined that a fee increase is reasonable and necessary to cover the full cost of providing said services; and,
WHEREAS, the fee schedules proposed herein are based upon the general recommendations of the independent consultant.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That the application fee schedule attached as Exhibit A is hereby approved and adopted for applications associated with Title 17 of the Metropolitan Code.
Section 2. That these fees hereby replace any fees previously established on the same subject-matter.
Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect on July 1, 2022, after its passage and such change be published in a newspaper of general circulation, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
