WHEREAS, the Tennessee Department of Finance and Administration awarded a grant in an amount not to exceed $50,205.00 with no cash match required to the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Davidson County Juvenile Court, to continue to enhance the Court’s COVID-19 preparedness plan to purchase personal protective equipment to minimize exposure to hazards in the workplace approved by RS2021-1233; and,  

WHEREAS, the Tennessee Department of Finance and Administration has changed the effective date of the grant contract to February 1, 2022; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that the revised grant contract be accepted. 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1.                     That the revised grant contract by and between the Tennessee Department of Finance and Administration and the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Davidson County Juvenile Court, to continue to enhance the Court’s COVID-19 preparedness plan to purchase personal protective equipment to minimize exposure to hazards in the workplace, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.   

Section 2.                      That the amount of this grant be appropriated to the Davidson County Juvenile Court, based on the revenues estimated to be received and any match to be applied.

Section 3.                     That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.

This resolution amends the terms of a Coronavirus Emergency Supplemental Funding Grant from the Tennessee Department of Finance and Administration to the Davidson County Juvenile Court, previously approved by RS2021-1233. The resolution changes the effective start date of the grant from November 15, 2021 to February 1, 2022. The end date of the grant will remain June 30, 2022. The grant awarded was $50,205 with no required local cash match. The grant proceeds will be used to enhance the Court’s COVID-19 preparedness plan to purchase personal protective equipment to minimize exposure to hazards in the workplace.
