A resolution approving an application for a Tennessee Safe Courts grant from the Tennessee Department of Finance and Administration to the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Office of Family Safety, to update the Jean Crowe Advocacy Center to increase storage space and repaint client and child high traffic areas.

WHEREAS, the Tennessee Department of Finance and Administration is accepting applications for a Tennessee Safe Courts grant with an award of $10,000.00 with no cash match required; and,
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government is eligible to participate in this grant program; and,
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this grant application be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That the application for a Tennessee Safe Courts grant with an award of $10,000.00, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Nashville Office of Family Safety is authorized to submit said grant application to the Tennessee Department of Finance and Administration.
Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
