A resolution approving a contract by and between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and Womble, LLC for the provision of heavy equipment rentals and associated equipment rental services.

WHEREAS, Section 5.04.020 of the Metropolitan Code provides that all leases of equipment shall be approved by resolution of the Metropolitan Council if the annual expenditure for the lease exceeds five thousand dollars ($5,000); and,
WHEREAS, the annual expenditure to lease heavy equipment for use by the Nashville Department of Transportation, pursuant to the attached contract with Womble, LLC will exceed five thousand dollars ($5,000); and,
WHEREAS, heavy equipment rentals and associated equipment rental services are necessary for paving and other infrastructure related projects; and,
WHEREAS, it is in the interest of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this contract be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That the Contract between the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and Womble, LLC for the provision of heavy equipment rentals and associated equipment rental services, is hereby approved.
Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
