An ordinance approving an agreement between Trevecca Nazarene University and the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, by and through the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department ("MNPD"), to partner with the Criminal Justice Studies Department of Trevecca Nazarene University to provide career opportunities to qualified students.

WHEREAS, the agreement attached hereto and incorporated herein provides terms for MNPD to partner with the Criminal Justice Studies Department of Trevecca Nazarene University to provide career opportunities and college credits to qualified students who are interested in a law enforcement career; and,
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this agreement be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That the agreement by and between Trevecca Nazarene University and the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, to partner with the Criminal Justice Studies Department of Trevecca Nazarene University to provide career opportunities and college credits to qualified students who are interested in a law enforcement career, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.
Section 2. That this ordinance shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
