A resolution accepting an in-kind grant from Americans for the Arts (AFTA) to the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Metropolitan Nashville Arts Commission, to implement a Diversity in Arts Leadership Internship Program (DIAL) to provide technical assistance to help establish a summer internship program.

Whereas, Americans for the Arts has awarded an in-kind grant with an estimated value of $12,000.00 with a required cash match of $24,000.00 to the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Metropolitan Nashville Arts Commission, to provide in-kind technical assistance for the DIAL program, a copy of which in-kind grant is attached hereto; and,
Whereas, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this in-kind grant be accepted.
Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:
Section 1. That the in-kind grant by and between Americans for the Arts, with an estimated value of $12,000.00 and the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Metropolitan Nashville Arts Commission, to provide technical assistance to help establish a summer internship program, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.
Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
