A resolution approving an agreement between the United States Department of the Army and the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Department of Water and Sewerage Services, for the K.R. WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Department of Water and Sewerage Services, has developed an agreement with the United States Department of the Army for the K.R. Harrington Water Treatment Plant Streambank Stabilization Project in Davidson County, Tennessee; and,
WHEREAS, the K.R. Harrington Water Treatment Plant Streambank Stabilization Project consists of the stabilization of approximately 1,600 feet along the south bank of the Cumberland River along the K.R. Harrington Water Treatment Plant through the reinforcement method of riprap placement to the top of the bank to halt erosion; and,
WHEREAS, the agreement provides that the United States Department of the Army and the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County will jointly fund the cost of the project as described in the Agreement (Exhibit 1); and,
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that the agreement be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That the agreement between the United States Department of the Army and the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, reflecting the K.R. Harrington Water Treatment Plant Streambank Stabilization Project, a copy of which agreement is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is approved and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.
