A resolution accepting an amended Shuttered Venue Operators grant from the U.S. Small Business Administration to the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Municipal Auditorium, for emergency assistance for venues affected by COVID19.

WHEREAS, RS2021-1112 approved a grant from the U.S. Small Business Administration in an amount not to exceed $1,523,618.31 with no cash match required to the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Municipal Auditorium, for emergency assistance for venues affected by COVID19; and,

 

WHEREAS, the U.S. Small Business Administration has supplemented the grant award to include an additional $761,809.61; and,

 

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this grant be accepted.

 

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

 

Section 1. That the amended grant by and between the U.S. Small Business Administration, and the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Municipal Auditorium, for an additional amount not to exceed $761,809.61, for emergency assistance for venues affected by COVID19, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.

 

Section 2.                     That the amount of this grant be appropriated to the Municipal Auditorium, based on revenues estimated to be received and any match to be applied.

 

Section 3.                     That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
