A resolution approving amendment one to a Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) grant from the Tennessee Department of Finance and Administration, Office of Criminal Justice Programs, to the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, to fund counselor and victim advocate positions to provide mental health services, support services, and criminal justice system advocacy.

Whereas, the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, previously entered into a grant agreement with the Tennessee Department of Finance and Administration, Office of Criminal Justice Programs, to fund counselor and victim advocate positions to provide mental health services, support services, and criminal justice system advocacy approved by RS2020-368; and,
WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend the grant agreement as reflected in a copy of amendment one attached hereto to: (i) delete Section D.27. State Interest In Equipment or Motor Vehicles in its entirety and replace it with a new Section D.27.; (ii) add Section E.7. Counterpart Clause; (iii) add Section E.8. Prohibition on Certain Telecommunications and video Surveillance Services or Equipment; and (iv) delete Attachment A-1 in its entirety and replace it with a new Attachment A-1; and,
Whereas, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that amendment one to this grant be approved.
Now, therefore be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:
Section 1. That amendment one to the VOCA grant by and between the Tennessee Department of Finance and Administration, Office of Criminal Justice Programs, and the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, to fund counselor and victim advocate positions to provide mental health services, support services, and criminal justice system advocacy, a ...
