WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Department of Finance, previously entered into a grant agreement with the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency to provide public assistance pursuant to Presidential Disaster Declaration number FEMA-4476-DR-TN for costs incurred for severe storms, tornadoes, straight-line winds, and flooding on March 3, 2020, approved by RS2021-701; and,
WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend the grant agreement by amendment one, a copy of which is attached hereto, to: (i) increase the amount of the grant by $2,364,595.64 from $4,811,668.25 for a new total of $7,176,263.89; and (ii) add an additional required cash match of $341,701.93 to the previous amount of $687,381.17, for a new cash match total of $1,029,083.10; and,
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this grant amendment be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That amendment one to the grant by and between the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency, in an amount not to exceed $2,364,595.64, to the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Department of Finance, to provide public assistance pursuant to Presidential Disaster Declaration number FEMA-4476-DR-TN for costs incurred for severe storms, tornadoes, straight-line winds, and flooding on March 3, 2020, a copy of which amendment one is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the s...
