WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Metropolitan Arts Commission, previously entered into a grant contract with the Tennessee Arts Commission for general operating support to expand, improve, and develop the arts in Tennessee approved by RS2020-483; and,
WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend the grant to increase the amount of the grant by $15,000.00 from $71,600.00 to $86,600.00 and delete Attachment A in its entirety and replace with a new Attachment A, a copy of which amendment one is attached hereto; and,
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that amendment one be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That amendment one to the grant by and between the Tennessee Arts Commission, in an amount not to exceed $86,600.00, to the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Metropolitan Arts Commission, for general operating support to expand, improve, and develop the arts in Tennessee, a copy of which amendment one is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.
Section 2. That the amount of this grant be appropriated to the Metropolitan Arts Commission, based on the revenues estimated to be received and any match to be applied.
Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
