A resolution accepting a donation of 50,000 N95 Moldex disposable respirators from the Celanese Corporation by The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Office of Emergency Management, to be used as determined by the Office of Emergency Management to help fight the COVID-19 pandemic.

WHEREAS, Celanese Corporation wishes to donate 50,000 N95 Moldex disposable respirators, valued at $50,000.00, to the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, to be used as determined by the Office of Emergency Management to help fight the COVID-19 pandemic; and,
WHEREAS, a copy of the donation documentation is attached hereto and incorporated herein; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to Metropolitan Code of Laws ? 5.04.120(B), donations exceeding $5,000 may be accepted and appropriated pursuant to Resolution; and,
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this donation be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That the donation from Celanese Corporation of 50,000 N95 Moldex disposable respirators, valued at $50,000.00, to the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, to be used as determined by the Office of Emergency Management to help fight the COVID-19 pandemic, pursuant to the donation documentation attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.
Section 2. That the Office of Emergency Management is hereby authorized to accept this donation of N95 Moldex disposable respirators.
Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
