WHEREAS, the abandonment of approximately 29 linear feet of existing eight inch sanitary sewer main (PVC), one sanitary sewer manhole and easements, and the acceptance of approximately 105 linear feet of new eighth inch sanitary sewer main (PVC), two sanitary sewer manholes and easements, for property located at 508 Collins Park Drive, also known as Tru by Hilton, is needed to construct project number 20-SL-140; and,

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Commission approved mandatory referral No. 2020M-084ES-001 on October 14, 2020, for the abandonment and acceptance of said sewer mains, sanitary sewer manholes and easements.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1.                     The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is authorized to abandon approximately 29 linear feet of existing eight inch sanitary sewer main (PVC), one sanitary sewer manhole and easements, and to accept approximately 105 linear feet of new eighth inch sanitary sewer main (PVC), two sanitary sewer manholes and easements, for property located at 508 Collins Park Drive, also known as Tru by Hilton, as shown on Exhibit 1, which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference.

Section 2.                     The Directors of Water and Sewerage Services and Public Property Administration are authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary and appropriate to carry out the abandonment and acceptance authorized by this ordinance.

Section 3.                     Amendments to this legislation shall be approved by resolution.

Section 4.                     This ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.

This ordinance abandons approximately 29 linear feet of existing 8-inch sanitary sewer main, one sanitary sewer manhole, and easements, and accepts 105 linear feet of replacement 8-inch sanitary sewer main, two sewer manholes, and easements for property located at 508 Collins Park Drive from the Tru by Hilton hotel.  This ordinance has been approved by the planning commission. Future amendments to this legislation may be approved by resolution.

 

Fiscal Note: This ordinance has no cost to Metro. Abandoned and donated easements have no market value according to the Department of Water Services
