BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That Section 2.210.020 is hereby amended by deleting paragraph C1. in its entirety and replacing it with the following:

1. Written confirmation is provided by the director of the Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA) that the qualified company has either committed to qualified project participation in the EasyRide MTA-RTA Commuter Program or provided a valid explanation as to why participation is not feasible; and

Section 2. That Section 11.22.020 is hereby amended by deleting the following language in its entirety:

"The provisions of this subsection C shall expire and be null and void on January 1, 2020 ("sunset date") unless extended by resolution of the council of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County. This provision, commonly known as a "sunset provision," is included to ensure that the effectiveness and necessity of this subsection is reviewed by the metropolitan council after its implementation."

Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
