A resolution recognizing Christie Wilson and The Wilson Group Real Estate Services.

WHEREAS, The Wilson Group Real Estate Services was recently named to the “Top 25 Women Owned Businesses in Nashville” by the Nashville Business Journal for the second year in a row; and
WHEREAS, Christie Wilson is the owner and CEO of The Wilson Group Real Estate Services which was originally established in 1988 by her late father, Hal Wilson; and
WHEREAS, Christie joined the company in 1995 to implement the listing and sales department, rounding out The Wilson Group into a full-service real estate firm; and
WHEREAS, Christie is a former president of The Greater Nashville Association of Realtors and the recipient of the Greater Nashville Association of Realtors “Realtor of the Year”, as well as the Tennessee “Realtor of the Year”; and
WHEREAS, in addition to her work with The Wilson Group, Christie also serves on the Nashville Area Habitat for Humanity Board, Leadership Nashville Alumni Board, and the Nashville Wine Auction Board; and
WHEREAS, Christie is also a Charter Member of the YWCA’s Fulcrum Society and is a founding member of the Nashville Chapter of The Women’s President’s Organization; and
WHEREAS, The Wilson Group is the presenting sponsor for The Richland Creek Run since its establishment 13 years ago, benefitting Greenways of Nashville; and
WHEREAS, Christie and her team still carry out her late father’s purpose, and build on his hard work by providing a culture of excellence, positivity, and learning where team members and agents can serve their clients with full confidence and joy; and
WHEREAS, The Wilson Group’s flagship office is located in the Sylvan Park neighborhood, and the team opened their second location in the heart of Green Hills in 2016; and
WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the Metropolitan Council recognize and congratulate Christie Wilson and The Wilson Group Real Estate Services for being named to the “Top 25 Women Owned Businesses in Nashville” by the Nashville Business Journal.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. The Metropolitan County Council hereby goes on record as recognizing Christie Wilson and The Wilson Group Real Estate Services for being named to the “Top 25 Women Owned Businesses in Nashville” by the Nashville Business Journal.
Section 2. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davison County requiring it.
