A resolution approving amendment one to appropriate grant funds from The Kresge Foundation to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Action Commission, for the MAC4Jobs (Making a Change for Jobs) project to expand opportunities in America’s cities through grant making and social investing.

Whereas, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Action Commission, previously entered into a grant agreement with The Kresge Foundation, for the MAC4Jobs (Making a Change for Jobs) project to expand opportunities in America’s cities through grant making and social investing approved by RS2019-1884;  and,

WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend the grant agreement to increase the amount of the grant by $10,000.00 for a new grant total of $510,000.00 with no cash match required, a copy of which amendment one is attached hereto; and,

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Action Commission has accepted amendment one to this grant, attached hereto and incorporated herein, pursuant to its authority under Metro Code Section 2.108.050; and,

Whereas, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that these funds be appropriated to the Metropolitan Action Commission.

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1.                     That the funds from amendment one to the grant by and between The Kresge Foundation, in an amount not to exceed $10,000.00, to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Action Commission, for the MAC4Jobs (Making a Change for Jobs) project to expand opportunities in America’s cities through grant making and social investing, a copy of which amendment one is attached hereto and incorporated herein, be appropriated to the Metropolitan Action Commission.

Section 2.                     That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
