A resolution approving amendment one to a grant from the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Office of Emergency Management, to provide resources to procure items, training and/or equipment for hazardous materials (hazmat) preparedness.

Whereas, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Office of Emergency Management, previously entered into a grant agreement with the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency, to provide resources to procure items, training and/or equipment for hazardous materials (hazmat) preparedness approved by RS2020-448; and,

 

WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend the grant agreement to extend the end date of the grant agreement to September 30, 2021, a copy of which amendment one is attached hereto; and,

 

Whereas, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that amendment one be accepted.

 

Now, therefore be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

 

Section 1.                     That amendment one to the grant by and between the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Office of Emergency Management, to provide resources to procure items, training and/or equipment for hazardous materials (hazmat) preparedness, a copy of which amendment one is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

 

Section 2.                     That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
