An ordinance authorizing The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to abandon existing public water mains, and to accept a new public water main and public fire hydrant assembly, for property located at 1 Terminal Drive, also known as Terminal Drive Water Main Extension (MWS Project No. 23-WL-87 and Proposal No. 2024M-007ES-001).

WHEREAS, the abandonment of approximately 206 linear feet of existing 10-inch water main (DIP) and approximately 513 linear feet of existing eight-inch water main (DIP), and the acceptance of approximately 719 linear feet of new 24-inch water main (DIP) and one new fire hydrant assembly, for property located at 1 Terminal Drive, also known as Terminal Drive Water Main Extension, are needed to construct project number 23-WL-87; and,
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Commission approved mandatory referral No. 2024M-007ES-001 on January 17, 2023, for the abandonment and acceptance of said water mains and fire hydrant assemblies.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is authorized to abandon approximately 206 linear feet of existing 10-inch water main (DIP) and approximately 513 linear feet of existing eight-inch water main (DIP), and to accept approximately 719 linear feet of new 24-inch water main (DIP) and one new fire hydrant assembly, for property located at 1 Terminal Drive, also known as Terminal Drive Water Main Extension, as shown on Exhibit 1, which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference.

Section 2. The Directors of Water and Sewerage Services and Public Property Administration are authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary and appropriate to carry out the abandonment and acceptance authorized by this ordinance.
