WHEREAS, RS2022-1654 approved an application for a CMAQ grant from the United States Department of Transportation, and authorized the acceptance of the grant through an intergovernmental agreement between TDOT and NDOT for the implementation of the Nashville Connector Transportation Demand Management Program ("the Grant Agreement"); and,
WHEREAS, RS2025-1200 approved Amendment 1 to the Grant Agreement, which extended the project completion date from July 16, 2025 to September 30, 2026; and,
WHEREAS, as set forth in Amendment 2, attached hereto and incorporated herein, the parties wish to amend the Grant Agreement to extend the project completion date from September 30, 2026 to September 30, 2028; and,
WHEREAS, Tennessee Code Annotated § 12-9-104(a)(2)(b) authorizes the Metropolitan Government to enter into intergovernmental agreements with the State of Tennessee by resolution; and,
WHEREAS, RS2022-1654 authorized amendments to the Grant Agreement by resolution; and,
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that Amendment 2 to the Grant Agreement be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
