An ordinance authorizing The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to abandon existing public gate valve on a public water line, and to accept and relocate new public gate valve on a public water line, for property located at Cabot Drive (unnumbered), also known as Cabot Townhomes, (MWS Project No. 23-WL-77 and Proposal No. 2023M-154ES-001).

WHEREAS, the abandonment of an existing six-inch gate valve, and the acceptance and relocation of a new six-inch gate valve closer to the public water main, for property located at Cabot Drive (unnumbered), also known as Cabot Townhomes, are needed to construct project number 23-WL-77; and,
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Commission approved mandatory referral No. 2023M-154ES-001 on October 6, 2023, for the abandonment, acceptance and relocation of said gate valves on water line.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is authorized to abandon an existing six-inch gate valve, and to accept and relocate a new six-inch gate valve closer to the public water main, for property located at Cabot Drive (unnumbered), also known as Cabot Townhomes, as shown on Exhibit 1, which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference.

Section 2. The Directors of Water and Sewerage Services and Public Property Administration are authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary and appropriate to carry out the abandonment, acceptance and relocation authorized by this ordinance.
Section 3. Amendments to this legislation shall be approved by resolution.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
