An ordinance approving and authorizing the Director of Public Property Administration, or his designee, to accept a donation of real property consisting of 5.08 acres located at 0 Carothers Road (Parcel No. 18800003400) for the site of a new fire station (Proposal No. 2023M-004PR-001).

WHEREAS, Arden Village Apartments, LLC owns property in Davidson County located at the 0 Carothers Drive (the "Property"), shown on Exhibit 1, attached hereto, that is suitable for a fire station for the Nashville Fire Department; and,
WHEREAS, Arden Village Apartments, LLC proposes to donate a portion of the Property to the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County ("Metropolitan Government") for a new fire station; and,
WHEREAS, acceptance of the donation of the Property will benefit the citizens of Davidson County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY, TENNESSEE:
Section 1. The Director of Public Property Administration, or his designee, is hereby authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary to effectuate the donation of the Property described in Exhibit 1, attached hereto, from Arden Village Apartments, LLC to the Metropolitan Government for construction of a new fire station.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
