An Ordinance to amend Section 16.60.110 of the Metropolitan Code of Laws related to monitoring of green building performance.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That Section 16.60.110 of the Metropolitan Code of Laws is hereby amended by deleting the section in its entirety and replacing it with the following:
16.60.110 Continued monitoring.
A. It shall be the duty of the metropolitan government department, agency, board, or commission having control over a building or facility that was constructed or renovated using the LEED sustainable building rating system pursuant to this chapter to provide information detailing the environmental performance and operation of the building or facility for the previous calendar year. This information shall be made available to the public on metropolitan government's website no later than June 30 of each year.
B. The information required by subsection A. of this section shall include, but not be limited to, the following for each LEED facility:
1. The costs for electricity, natural gas, and water for the previous calendar year;
2. The building or facility's energy and water usage in kilowatt hours, therms, and gallons (as applicable) for the previous calendar year compared to both a non-LEED certified building/facility of similar size and use within the area of the metropolitan government and to the current Commercial Buildings Energy Consumption Survey (CBECS) Energy Use Intensity (EUI) benchmark for similar building type;
3. The estimated energy and water cost savings for the previous calendar year compared to a non-LEED certified building/facility of similar size and use within the area of the metropolitan government;
4. The square footage of both the LEED building and the non-LEED comparison building.
