A resolution amending Resolution RS2023-1948, as amended, which appropriated $75,000.00 in American Rescue Plan Act Funds to the Nashville Voluntary Organization Active in Disasters (VOAD) coalition, to extend the projected program term through December 31, 2024.

WHEREAS, Resolution RS2023-1948 appropriated $75,000.00 in American Rescue Plan Act Funds to the Nashville Voluntary Organization Active in Disasters (VOAD) coalition for a pilot program to engage the community in emergency preparedness; and,
WHEREAS, Resolution RS2023-2147 amended RS2023-1948 to clarify the fiscal sponsor for VOAD as The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee, but inadvertently removed reference to Exhibit A; and,
WHEREAS, Resolution RS2023-2286 amended RS2023-1948 to reincorporate Exhibit A; and,
WHEREAS, Resolution RS2023-1948 provided for a projected project term through June 30, 2024; and,
WHEREAS, VOAD has requested that the projected project term be extended through December 31, 2024; and,
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that the project term be extended.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. The Metropolitan Council accepts this resolution as a recommendation of the COVID-19 Financial Oversight Committee.
Section 2. That Resolution RS2023-1948, as amended, is hereby amended by extending VOAD's projected program term through December 31, 2024.
Section 3. That this Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
