A resolution approving amendment one to an intergovernmental agreement by and between the State of Tennessee, Department of Health, and the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, to provide Child Fatality Review Services in the Sudden Death of the Young (SDY) in children under age 19 investigated by the Medical Examiner's Office.

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, previously entered into an intergovernmental agreement with the State of Tennessee, Department of Health, to provide Child Fatality Review Services in the Sudden Death of the Young (SDY) in children under age 19 investigated by the Medical Examiner's Office approved by RS2018-1500; and,
WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend the intergovernmental agreement to increase the amount of the grant by $7,000.00 from $28,000.00 to $35,000.00 and to extend the end date to September 29, 2023, a copy of which amendment one is attached hereto; and,
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that amendment one to the intergovernmental agreement be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That amendment one to the intergovernmental agreement by and between the State of Tennessee, Department of Health, and the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, to provide Child Fatality Review Services in the Sudden Death of the Young (SDY) in children under age 19 investigated by the Medical Examiner's Office, a copy of which amendment one is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.
Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring...
