WHEREAS, the abandonment of one fire hydrant assembly, and the acceptance of approximately 47 linear feet of new six-inch water main (DIP) and one fire hydrant assembly, for property located at 4854 Nolensville Pike, also known as Fairlane Shopping Center, are needed to construct project number 26-WL-19; and,
WHEREAS, BL2024-345 authorizes the Metropolitan Department of Water and Sewerage Services to approve extensions, additions, improvement, or works by resolution of the Metropolitan Council; and,
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Commission approved mandatory referral No. 2026M-040ES-001 on May 29, 2026, for the abandonment and acceptance of said water main and fire hydrant assemblies.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is authorized to abandon one fire hydrant assembly, and to accept approximately 47 linear feet of new six-inch water main (DIP) and one fire hydrant assembly, for property located at 4854 Nolensville Pike, also known as Fairlane Shopping Center, as shown on Exhibit 1, which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference.

Section 2. The Directors of Water and Sewerage Services and Public Property Administration are authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary and appropriate to carry out the abandonment and acceptance authorized by this resolution.
